Strum & Keys — Privacy Policy
TL;DR: Strum & Keys collects nothing about you. No accounts, no cookies,
no third-party analytics, no advertising. Everything the app remembers lives
only in your own browser — and you can view, download, or delete it anytime
from My practice data in the app footer.
1. What stays on your device
- Practice analytics — anonymous counts like "session finished in Learn mode, 92% accuracy". Stored in your browser's localStorage. Never transmitted anywhere.
- Onboarding & prompt state — whether you've seen the first-run tour and the feedback prompt. Local only.
- Sheet music you open — processed in your browser to render the score and guide lights. Never uploaded.
2. What we never do
- No accounts or sign-in — there is nothing to tie your practice to.
- No third-party trackers (no Google Analytics or equivalent).
- No cookies beyond what your browser needs to run the app.
- No sale of data — there is no data to sell.
3. MIDI & Bluetooth permissions
Connecting a keyboard uses your browser's Web MIDI / Web Bluetooth chooser — you pick the device explicitly, and device access never leaves your machine. Device names are not logged or transmitted.
4. Your controls
Open My practice data in the Strum & Keys footer to see exactly what is stored, download it as JSON, or wipe it completely. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything too.
5. Changes
If Strum & Keys ever collects anything new, this policy will say so first — before the collection starts, not after.
