About Strum & Keys
Strum & Keys is a free piano-teacher web app. Drop in any MusicXML or MIDI sheet music and it teaches you the piece on your keyboard — lighting each note as you go, waiting patiently until you play it right, then scoring your performance.
How it works
- 🎓 Learn mode — the app waits for every note. Play the glowing key, get instant feedback, build streaks.
- ▶🔊 Listen mode — hear the piece played back with each key lighting as it sounds. Great for learning by ear.
- 🎹 Perform mode — play along in time and get scored on accuracy.
LUMI & MIDI
Connect a ROLI LUMI Keys (or any MIDI keyboard) over USB MIDI or Bluetooth LE MIDI and the guide lights follow your practice — left hand orange, right hand blue. No keyboard? The on-screen piano is fully playable with mouse, touch, or your computer keyboard.
Your music, your device
Strum & Keys has no accounts and no tracking. Your sheet music and practice data never leave your browser — see the Privacy Policy.
